How long does a treatment last?Treatment times vary depending on the service selected. Please refer to the treatment description when booking.

Do I need to wash my hair before my appointment?No. Please arrive with dry hair and avoid heavy styling products where possible.

Can I wear makeup?Yes, although minimal makeup around the forehead and hairline is recommended for maximum comfort during your treatment.

Can I have a treatment with hair extensions?Unfortunately, treatments cannot be performed on clients with hair extensions, wigs or installed hairstyles.

Can I have a treatment if I have a scalp condition?Some scalp conditions may require medical clearance. Please complete your consultation form honestly so we can advise appropriately.

Can I have a treatment if I have head lice (nits)?No. Treatments cannot be performed if head lice, fungal infections, open wounds or contagious scalp conditions are present.

How often should I book a Head Spa treatment?Most clients benefit from treatments every 4–6 weeks, depending on their scalp condition and individual goals.
Aftercare & Booking Policy
Aftercare Guide
To achieve the best results following your treatment, please follow the recommendations below:
- Avoid washing your hair for at least 24 hours after your treatment.
- Use gentle sulphate-free shampoos where possible.
- Stay hydrated to support overall scalp health.
- Avoid excessive heat styling immediately after treatment.
- Protect your scalp from prolonged sun exposure.
- Follow any personalised aftercare recommendations provided during your appointment.
- For ongoing scalp health and maintenance, treatments are recommended every 4–6 weeks.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
- A non-refundable booking fee may be required to secure your appointment.
- Appointments may be rescheduled with a minimum of 24 hours' notice.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee.
- Failure to attend an appointment without notice may result in the full treatment cost being charged.
- Clients arriving significantly late may need to have their treatment shortened or rescheduled.
Consultation & Suitability
All clients are required to complete a consultation form prior to their appointment.
Maple Head Spa reserves the right to refuse treatment where contraindications are present, including but not limited to:
Head lice (nits)
Active fungal infections
Open wounds
Severe scalp irritation
Certain medical conditions where treatment is not suitable
The information provided within your consultation form must be accurate and up to date to ensure treatments are delivered safely.
